Verse of the week #3

Psalms 40:2

This verse is my favorite. This verse was with me after being saved on 7/5/23.

“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

Amen. Amen. Amen.

This is EVERYTHING. Only God can do this. I was in a dark place in every aspect of life. With work, surrender, humility, and help, I gave Him the keys to my house. I surrendered my past, present, and future to God and thanked Jesus Christ for what He did for me on the Cross.

He IS the firm foundation. His word IS Truth. He IS the rock on which we can stand and there IS no name that is above His.

Lets be honest, surrendering to God is an everyday thing, a moment to moment thing, and it can even be a second to second thing and it is hard. You are dying to your flesh and walking in a new direction the world is opposed to. Life is hard but when you walk with God, with Abba (the father), you begin to know your purpose and your identity. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. That is promised in scripture.
